Rugged,
Field-Ergonomic Case Design
Do not let the attractive design fool you. The Allegro is built to
withstand the harshest field environments. It is lightweight, comfortable
to hold, and easy to maneuver while working in less that ideal conditions.
The polycarbonate ABS material is rugged, shock resistant, and chemical
resistant. It withstands a five-foot drop and six-foot submersion test,
and even floats.
Large Keyboard and Superior Layout
Makes Data Entry Fast and Accurate
The keys are large enough to be used with gloved hands. Numeric keys are
located in the center of the keyboard for easy access. Twelve function
keys are available.
Fast Process for
Superior Performance
Intel's® StrongARM® SA1110 206 MHz processor provides outstanding speed
and performance while running Windows® CE programs.
Large Non-Glare
Display with Touchscreen
The ¼-VGA display with non-glare touchscreen offers 18% more viewing area
than comparable units, making applications and data clear and easy to see
— especially outdoors. An adjustable backlight provides visibility in low
light condition, and a display heater allows the Allegro to operate in
cold temperatures.
Multiple
Communication Options
Two standard 9-pin D RS-232C serial ports and an IrDA (infrared) port
allow you to connect your instrument or PC using a standard serial
interface or through the optional USB Power Dock.
Advanced Power
Features
A standard rechargeable nickel metal hydride battery pack (NiMH) is
included. During typical use, you can work 12 to 20 hours between charges.
There is an intelligent charging circuit in the Allegro to properly charge
the NiMH batteries without over-charging them. A dedicated standard
external DC power input jack is located on the top of the Allegro. A
universal AC power adapter is included.
Plenty of Memory
and Secure Data Storage
32 MB of non-volatile disk storage space is included. Data is secure
without battery backup. A user-accessible PC card slot allows you to add
mass storage and I/O capabilities to the Allegro. Type I and Type II ATA
Flash and SRAM cards, or input/output device cards can be used.
